Co-Owner & Therapist Washington State License Number: MA00019308

Penny has been a massage therapist since 2004. She Started off her career in a spa setting developing nurturing techniques and continued to evolve her practice into more treatment centered modalities to reduce the client's pain from injury and everyday stress. Penny's strengths include injury treatment, increasing Range of Motion and giving her clients the information necessary to perform self care for injury improvement between sessions. She focuses on her clients needs through intuition and responding as your body needs it.

2013 will see Penny increasing her massage skill and begin the process of becoming certified in Onocology Massage. She will begin with Massage for People Living With Cancer, a foundation course where she will be Learning the core concepts, applying comfort oriented massage, and working with those who are at risk for lymphedema.

Penny is currently certified in: Integrative Body Work for Women: This modality is aimed at helping women of all ages. Targeting the symptoms of PMS, hormonal headaches, low back pain, cramps and so much more. Penny is also trained in pre-natal massage techniques with extensive knowledge to keep her clients comfortable during this exciting time of change both emotionally and physically.

Repetitive Motion Injury Treatment (R.M.I.T.): Using a combination of stretching, pressure and breathing, this technique is sure to relieve tight muscles, improve mobility, decrease scar tissue and return muscle memory. MRT is a great treatment to eliminate pain from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet! Great treatment for the symptoms of Plantar Fasciatis, Carpal Tunnel, Sciatica and other structural stiffness.

Geriatric Massage: This modality is designed specifically for senior citizen. With a very light and gentle touch, the focus is increased mobility and blood flow.

Bamboo Fusion: This wonderful treatment is performed using heated bamboo poles and flat surface bamboo to treat and release tight muscles. Let the heat of the bamboo soak into tired muscles, lengthening and easing the tightness and soreness of the muscles. Bamboo is different from Hot Stone as the cellulose wood is softer on the skin to treat and release body and muscle tension. The bamboo can also be used to experience a deep tissue release with added stretching of the muscle easing tight joints and muscles.

Thai Table Stretching Massage: By using the stretching techniques of Thai Massage, Penny is able to ease the muscles and open tight joints increasing the clients Range of Motion. This modality can be preformed with the client in loose stretchy clothing or under the cover of the sheet.

Special Additions: Penny is also trained in some add-on modalities to make your massage tailor made for you. Treat and moisturize your scalp and hair with a hot Almond oil massage. Treat dry skin with Shea or Cocoa butter massage for a moist and healthy glow to your skin.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage: This technique is more medically oriented, Focusing concentration on edema (generally in the limbs.) Pre-natal Massage: Being Specifically trained in pregnancy massage ensures that your therapist will not only give the upmost care and concern for your comfort levels, but they will also be able to address specific areas during different stages in the pregnancy to aid in mobility and decreasing pain levels.

Reiki: Siera is a certified Reiki practitioner who is working on attaining Master certification. Reiki is a form of energy work that works incredibly well with massage. Reiki concentrates positive energy and brings that into the chakra's allowing the body's energy pathways to flow in harmony. Stemming from ancient Japanese and Tibetan healing arts, Reiki is a wonderful option for those suffering from fibromyalgia, nerve pain, emotional distress, or those currently going through cancer treatments that do not allow for deep tissue massage!

Negative Pressure Massage(Cupping): This is such a wonderful treatment that is very hard to find. Cupping, originated in eastern medicine, uses rubber (or glass) cups to draw the tissue layers up from the bone, allowing all layers of interstitial tissue to release from one another. This not only makes deep tissue massage more effective, but also helps to draw toxins out of dermal layers.

Rebecca is currently certified in:

Manual Lymphatic Drainage: This technique is more medically oriented, Focusing concentration on edema (generally in the limbs.) A perfect modality for those suffering from swelling due to disease or injury, this form of massage is incredibly gentle. This modality focuses on opening up lymph pathways and gently aiding the nodes in the lymph cleansing and pumping process.

Pre-natal Massage: Being specifically trained in pregnancy massage ensures that your therapist will not only provide  outstanding care and concern for your comfort levels, but they will also be able to address specific areas during different stages in the pregnancy to aid in mobility and decreasing pain levels.

Myofascial Release from a Hellerwork perspective:  Myofascial release purpose is to break down scar tissue, relax the muscle and myofascia and restore good posture.  Myofascial release technique uses slow and deep pressure to restore the health of the fascia. Myofascia is the dense tough tissue that covers all our muscles and bones.  It is strong and very flexible.  In its normal state, the myofascia is relaxed and soft. When you experience physical trauma or inflammation, the myofascia loses its pliability and can become tight, restricted and cause tension throughout the body.  Damaged or traumatized myofasica can lead to many problems such as muscle pain and spasm, chronic back pain, headaches, breathing problems, reduced flexibility, and poor posture.  Myofascial release therapy is used effectively to treat these symptoms by improving the health of the muscles and fascia, improving circulation and restoring correct posture.

Hot Stone Massage: Hot stone massage is a fabulous addition to any massage treatment relaxing the muscles and improving Myofascial Release.

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy:  Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique using an overhead bar support system.  It has been called the "deepest most luxurious massage on the planet".
